William Green started making shoes in Northamptonshire in 1866. His factory was one of the first in the world to use the Goodyear welt method. Over 150 years later, Grenson is still making shoes in England — still Goodyear welted, still obsessively crafted, now with a modern edge sharp enough to have dressed everyone from Elton John to Keanu Reeves.
