Introducing Brandblack To TSS
We first noticed Brandblack when they did a collaboration with Maison Kitsune, and we then saw them on lots of stylish feet during our buying trip in Paris this January. We decided we had to get them in to TSS!
Founded in 2013, Brandblack is a Los Angeles-based brand that seamlessly integrates athletic functionality, fashion elegance & minimalist design.
Creative Director / Billy Dill & Founder / David Raysse
The brand founder comes from a long line of creatives. His father is Gilles Raysse one of the founding members of the fashion house KENZO and his mother Carole La Brie was the first African American model to grace the cover of Italian Vogue. His first job from college was at Italian sportswear brand FILA, he then became the youngest design director at Adidas. Having grown up surrounded with such creative diversity and design education it was only natural for David to combine his love of design and fashion to create Brandblack.
Brandblack entered in a partnership with Vibram capturing what Brandblack describes as a “dad tech” look. This also means great traction and super comfy whilst taking a load off your feet!
