Câbleami® is a Japanese hat brand founded by designers Shuji and Tomoka Sadamori in 2008.
The name is made up of two words: ‘câble’ taken from the traditional Arran cable knitting style, and “ami,” which in Japanese translates to ‘knit’, and in French means “friend.” The câbleami name reflects the brands own ethos of creating hats that much like a cable knit jumper, will be cherished and worn as if it were a friend.
The ‘Pork Pie’ hat is named for its superficial resemblance to the famous edible Pork Pie; it has a flat top with a raised edge, and a short, flat brim. câbleami's interpretation of the ‘Pork Pie’ hat comprises a cotton twill body, complete with a simple contrast grosgrain ribbon.
